Park Open, In-Park Operations Closed for the Season
Updated October 14, 2025 at 11:25pm MT
Glacier National Park’s in-park lodges and operations are closed for the season. While we have received word from the U.S. National Park Service that the entrances and roads into Glacier National Park will remain open and accessible during the government shutdown, October has always brought the close of our in-park operations for the winter.
Government-provided services (visitor center, public restrooms, etc.) are not available due to the shutdown. The National Park Service will provide emergency services, but please be very careful when venturing into the park. For park, road, and trail statuses (including Going-to-the-Sun Road), please consult the NPS website.
