SHUTTLES
If you choose to be without a car, the Many Glacier Hiker’s Shuttle will help in your planning. This is not an interpretive tour or red bus. The shuttle will be first come, first served with extremely limited seating – no advance reservations can be made for the 2024 season. It is strongly recommended guests find other means of transportation, rather than rely on the shuttle.

This hiker’s shuttle connects visitors to the National Park Service (NPS) free Going-to-the-Sun Road shuttle system. This is not an interpretive tour on red buses.

WEST SIDE Shuttle operated by Xanterra

This shuttle provides passenger and luggage transportation between the West Glacier Train Station and both Lake McDonald Lodge and Village Inn in Apgar. The shuttle times are dependent on the train schedule, lasts approximately 30 minutes and the shuttle does not stop at any campgrounds. Shuttle service must be booked in advance as there are a limited number of seats available.

*Above are tentative departure times; our shuttles times will adjust according to the Amtrak schedule. Bear in mind, the Amtrak is most often delayed. Our shuttles will adjust and operate accordingly through midnight; however, if the Amtrak is arriving/departing after midnight, we will not operate shuttles past this time. Please be sure to make other arrangements.
