Closures Due to Sprague Fire
Information Updated at 9:43 a.m. MDT on 9/11/2017
The Sprague fire currently burning in Glacier National Park has forced us to close Lake McDonald Lodge and The Village Inn at Apgar due to hazardous air quality at the lodge. Fire crews are working to contain the fire. For the latest information, please visit the National Park Service’s incident alert page.
In addition to the closures to Lake McDonald Lodge and The Village Inn at Apgar, all Red Bus Tours for the west side of the park have been canceled.
It is important to note that parts of Glacier National Park are NOT affected by the fire at this time. While the Going-to-the-Sun Road is closed on the west side of the park, we continue to operate the Red Bus Tours on the east side of the park. Many Glacier Hotel and Swiftcurrent Motor Inn & Cabins also remain open with normal operations.
If you have a reservation at Lake McDonald Lodge or The Village Inn at Apgar for 2017, your reservation will be canceled due to the closure and you will receive a full refund as well as an email confirmation. Please note that it is not necessary to call to cancel your Lake McDonald Lodge or Village Inn reservation or to receive the refund.
Please call 855-733-4522 if you need to speak with one of our Reservations Agents. Our phone lines are extremely busy and we appreciate your patience.
