Our Engineering and Maintenance department plays one of the most important roles in Glacier. Our crews rise to the challenge of opening, maintaining, and closing historic facilities throughout the park. Engineering and Maintenance is responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, installations of fixtures and equipment, as well as keeping facilities maintained to our highest standards. Hands-on skills are needed to get the job done right. If the idea of being one of the people who keeps Glacier up and running seems right, this may be the department for you.

Front Desk

The Front Desk at each hotel and lodge in Glacier National Park is a hub of guest activity. Guest Services Agents spend their days helping park guests experience Glacier. Guest Services Agents facilitate guest registration and provide information about the location. This means answering a lot of questions and providing a lot of information. Guest Services Agents must be able to learn and work with a reservation/lodging computer system, become familiar with basic park information, the activities available to guests throughout the park, and the services provided at that location. Most importantly, they must thrive on working with people, as they deal with guests daily in a wide variety of situations.

Many Glacier National Park guests spend time in our five park hotels and lodges with many staying overnight in one of 500 rooms and cabins throughout Glacier. The inviting lobbies, clean restrooms and spotless accommodations that welcome guests are the result of this department’s hard work. Housekeeping is a physically demanding job, but the camaraderie and help from fellow team members makes the day go by quickly.

The Transportation Department is a constant hub of mobile activity. All of Xanterra’s interpretive Red Bus tours in Glacier originate from here. The Transportation Department also facilitates guest shuttle services and the concierge desk. If you have the skills and the desire to help people fall in love with Glacier, have a good driving record and hold a valid driver’s license, we may have a position for you.

Laundry Services

The Central Laundry, in Columbia Falls, is where all lodging and dining linens are processed for use at 5 locations. This brand new facility is an ideal work location for those seeking a hands-on, consistent work environment.
